Civil Engineer/Land Surveyor

Compensation: $50,000 to $65,000 DOE

Job Description:

We’re a fast growing startup company in the Real Estate space. We’ve built an interactive online home builder where users can custom design their dream home for new construction. We’re looking for someone who has experience going out in the field surveying and vetting land to collect data to determine if specific lots of land are buildable and the initial prep work needed to begin construction. 


Candidates must have:

  • A solid background in civil engineering and prior experience surveying land
  • Knowledge of Northeastern residential building codes and permitting procedures 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and work well in teams
  • Valid Driver’s License


Responsibilities:

  • Visit land parcels and perform boundary & topographic surveys
  • Research on land history and construction feasibility
  • Create initial site development feasibility studies for submission to municipalities
  • Perform zoning analysis and due diligence
  • Work directly with municipalities. 


Experience:

  • Civil Engineering 2+ years (Preferred)
  • Land Surveying 2+ years (Preferred)


Work Location:

  • Remotely temporarily due to COVID-19
  • Position will be based in NYC office once reopened
